For sale this very fine rare John Walker railway design pocket watch, dating pre-1948. Fully signed mint original and unrestored dial and hand set. Excellent unsigned 15 jewel movement that has had a new main spring fitted and now in full working order keeping time. The case is also of railway size at 58mm in diameter excluding the stem and crown. However, it differs in the fact that this is a snap front and back case compared to the standard railway issued versions that are screw down front and back. The watch retains its original thick slightly bevelled glass with some general wear and a slight edge chip between 3 and 4, as shown in the pics. A rare watch in very good condition. John Walker is noted for supplying good quality clocks and watches to various rail companies during the 19th and early 20th century. Price £275.00
