Japanese Arita blue and white plate decorated with a central roundel of a jardiniere or censer containing a floral arrangement of seed pods, peony, and prunus, along with a stylized bird looking skyward, in a garden with two lingzhi growing on grassy banks, the rim with three large stylized lotus heads and a scrolling foliate feathered vine. The plain underside has four stilt firing points. There is no damage or restoration. The diameter is 21.5cm and approx. 3cm tall. An attractive example in excellent condition.
