Japanese Arita 18th century blue and white jar, decorated with a Ho o bird, butterfly, tree and floral scroll, within a garden scene. The jar is approx. 19.2cm tall and approx. 15cm diameter. Its in excellent undamaged condition, and most attractive, with the various deep inky blue tones against the white body. Originally part of a five-piece garniture suite.
