For sale this fine Omega wristwatch with British Royal Navy Officer history R Gray, ref C/JX 150217 Chatham Naval Docks. Circa 1947/48. This example boasts a fine original fully signed black dial, with rose gold stylized handset including its central sweep, rose gold quarter numbers and baton markers along with rose gold minute markers. The full stainless-steel case and waterproof screw down back has the rare reference of 2537-4 which is correct for the Omega 283cal movement. The watch is in full working order keeping accurate time.
Chief Radio Supervisor Raymond Gray, ref C/JX 152017 was awarded the British Empire Medal in the Queen's Birthday Honours 1961.
