For sale is a beautifully crafted Chinese small scholar’s table wood brush washer, dating to the 18th century. The sides are intricately decorated with precious objects set against a finely carved key-fret ground, featuring four round Zhou character medallions and stylized wufu (bats) symbolizing good fortune.
Considering its age, the piece remains in good condition, with only a few minor fine splits and small chips, as shown in the photographs. A painted character mark can be seen on the base, though now faded with time.
