For Sale: A fine and rare Chinese blue, white, and gilt octagonal teapot with cover, dating from the late 17th to early 18th century (Kangxi period).
Beautifully decorated with female figures in a terraced garden, surrounded by floral panels and highlighted with gilt detailing. The handle, spout, and lid are all in excellent condition with no damage.
The base of the teapot bears an old line and an early stock or collector’s number. Approximate dimensions: 15 cm wide and 11 cm high (including lid).
