A FINELY CARVED hardwood FIGURE OF LI TIEGUAI dating 19^th century.
The Daoist immortal in a seated position, with a rolled mat and a large lotus leaf strapped to his back. The figure is very finely carved with excellent facial expressions. The eyes are inlaid with a black horn. Very old paper label to a solid base. Size 17.5cm tall and approx. 12cm deep and 14.5cm wide.

Excellent condition with one small chip to the tip of the bow to the headband only, as shown in the pics. Some age splits to the wood, as expected. A fabulous example. Price £695.00 inclusive of shipping to within the UK.
