Pair of GWR Brass Railway Carriage Wall Lamps – UK, Early 20th Century
We are delighted to offer this rare and elegant pair of brass wall-mounted candle lamps, originally used in Great Western Railway carriages during the early 1900s. Beautifully crafted, they embody the charm and engineering finesse of early 20th-century rail travel.
Each lamp features a cylindrical brass body framed by two decorative crown-style mounts. The front displays a soldered GWR monogram, while the rear retains the original brackets designed for vertical wall installation.
These lamps make a striking vintage feature and bring warmth and character to any interior—hallway, living room, bedroom, or study. They are also an excellent gift for collectors and railway-history enthusiasts.
They have been wired for electricity, with fittings suited to small candle bulbs.
Please note: These lamps have not been PAT tested and are sold without warranty or guarantee, and at the new owner’s risk. We strongly recommend having them tested by a qualified electrician before use or installation.
