On offer is this very fine 18th century Japanese Arita quarterfoil shallow bowl the interior decorated in underglaze blue and with with a pair of parrots eating fruit from a tree. The walls the the interior of the bowl further moulded with stylized floral motif. The rim dressed in chocolate brown glaze. Underglaze bliue shop mark to base. Free from restoration or damage other than the one chip as show in the photos to the rim, the base imperfections prior to glazing. A rare and attractive piece. Price £175.00
