L.M.S. (London Midland Scottish) Station Master or Guard’s Railway Pocket Watch No. 17139 by Limit No. 2 – Pre-1948
For sale is a fine L.M.S. (London Midland Scottish) Station Master or Guard’s railway pocket watch, No. 17139, made by Limit No. 2, dating from before 1948.
The signed dial and deep blued hands are in excellent original condition, with only a very slight rim chip between 10 and 11 o’clock — barely noticeable and almost entirely covered by the front bezel.
The screw-front and back case shows light signs of use but remains dent-free and in good condition. The fully signed Limit No. 2 movement features 15 jewels and is in full working order, having been recently serviced.
The original bevelled glass displays minor wear and tear consistent with age but has not been replaced, preserving the watch’s authenticity.
