For sale, this magnificent Great Northern Railway issued pocket watch by John Walker, issue no 553, dating circa 1860. Fully signed throughout and in full working order, this heavy robust watch is in remarkable original condition. Fully signed original and unrestored dial and deep blued handset. The dial is in undamaged condition. The front bevelled glass appears to be original to the watch but does show clouding due to fine usage wear, but obviously very well looked after. The case is 60mm diameter excluding bow tube and 23mm deep. The watch has been subject to a full strip down and service and now keeps excellent time over a 24-hour period. Supplied with two keys. This is a remarkable example of a rare Railway watch from the second half of the Victorian period.Price £1795.00
