For sale this excellentJapanese Satsuma Koro and lid, dating to the first half Meiji period. Mounted on three mask feet the Koro hasShiShi head handles and a ShiShi mounted lid. One side decorated with a seascape the other a floral design. This is aearlyMejii period piece and is decorated in the then more standard imperial blue and red enamels. Signature to the base along with the imperial mon, also, its original shop label. The Koro and lid is in undamaged condition. Size approx. 14cm tall. and approx. 9.5cm in diameter at the widest part.
