For sale this most attractive Japanese Arita large blue and white porcelain charger with typical blue and white designs within scrolling foliate border, dating late 17^th early 18^th. Century. The central well of the dish finely painted with a jardinière and birds, the wall of the dish with a continuous meandering stylized scroll linking four individual chrysanthemum heads. The blue on this dish is quite vivid making the complete dish extremely attractive and most striking to look at. Size 40cm diameter. The dish has a small area of museum quality restoration the rim as shown in the pics, but this no way detracts for the overall beauty of this piece.
