Japanese Arita blue and white bamboo decorated shallow dish, late 17th century

For sale is this attractive Japanese blue and white decorated Arita dish dating to the late 17th century. Thickly potted around the base and with a slightly upturned everted lobed rim. It it decorated with Bird in flight amongst Bamboo in a landscape. The reverse with a single stylized floral scroll. The underglaze blue of strong dark tones, the glaze with shrinkage crackle. Condition: there are six small chips to the upturned everted lobed rim on the left side of the dish only, and no cracks. It would display well on a upright stand. The dish is 19cm in diameter and 3cm high. Price £95.00
