For sale is a fine example of a small salt-glazed white teapot with a pewter lid, manufactured by Hall & Read of Hanley, circa 1883. The base bears the distinctive Hall & Read diamond-shaped lozenge mark.
The teapot features a basket-weave design on the lower section, while the upper section is decorated with a floral motif, both in relief. It remains in original, unrestored condition, with only minor brown discoloration from the kiln.
