Delftware Polychrome Chinoiserie Plate with Parrots
Lambeth, London
Circa 1765

For sale is an attractive Chinoiserie Delftware plate, vividly painted in yellow, red, blue, and green. The central scene features a parrot perched on a rockwork outcrop amid rich foliage. A blue line encircles the inner well, while the border is decorated with three groups of leaves and flowers, including what appears to be a pine cone motif.

The plate is in excellent overall condition, showing only a few glaze chips on the rim and minor areas of glaze loss typical of this type of ware.
