For sale, a fine example to the Caughley Coalport transitional blue and white mask head jug in the “Pine Cone” decoration, dating circa 1800. Moulded with a leaf pattern lower half and impressed decoration to the neck, a good mask head spout. The blue decoration of a dark almost purplish tone. The neck rim decorated in gilt, (rubbed). C mark to base. The jug is in undamaged or restored condition and is free from chips, cracks, and hairline. The base is showing a chip that was pre-glaze and firing. Size 21cm tall and approx. 195cm wide. A fine example in excellent condition. Price £195.00 inclusive of shipping to within the UK
