Blue and White, Water Dog pattern, transfer print meat dish with gravy well, dating circa 1825

A Magnificent very large Blue and White, Water Dog pattern, transfer print meat dish with gravy well, dating circa 1825. The platter named British Views is an idealised view of Comb Bank in Kent, with a Water Dog in the foreground. The dish is in very fine undamaged and unrestored condition. Another dish of the same pattern but without the gravy well is illustrated on page 42 of The Dictionary of Blue & White Printed Pottery 1780 to 1880 Volume 11, by A.W. Coysh & R.K. Henrywood, along with a small discussion relating to the earlier print this subject was taken from. Size 53cm long by 41.5cm wide and approx. 7cm deep at the deepest end.
