Smiths small Chrome 8 day Art Deco design desk clock dating circa 1930’s

For sale is this super stylish Art Deco chrome and deep brown, almost black with deep red marbling Bakelite desk clock by the English clockmakers Smiths, dates to the 1930's. These size desk clocks are often only 30 hour so this is a nice find to have an 8-day movement. The body of the clock is chrome cased with a panel of dark Bakelite to the swivel base. Excellent, with only slight signs of ageing to the chrome-work, and an exceptionally fine unrestored two-tone coloured dial and original handset. The movement has been recently serviced and keeps good time. Size 11.5cm tall with a face size of 8.2cm wide by 10cm tall on a long base of 15.2cm long by 3.2cm wide.
