For sale, this extremely rare Pakistan Air Force issued all stainless steel wristwatch issue no 8750135, dating 1954, with full Longines Archive extract. Matching movement number to the case back PAF service issue number. This is a rare example from a very small known batch of Longines examples supplied by the British Government to the new Pakistan military as part of its obligation under its partitioning arrangements. The watch is sold with a full Longines Archive Certification that confirms the watch is complete and original as supplied to Baume, the main British Government supplier in 1954. The watch is in unrestored original condition.
The Royal Pakistan Air Force or RPAF was formed on partitioning in 1946 but the Royal part was dropped in 1959 to PAF for the Pakistan Air Force. This example on offer bears the correct and new abbreviation and engraving style. The watch is in full working order, keeping time, but probably could do with a service. Price £1895.000
